Full garden builds in Dorking

A market town in the Mole Valley, circled by Box Hill, Leith Hill and some of the most photographed landscape in Surrey. The built environment tries to match.

Full garden builds in Dorking

A full garden build takes a space from where it is to where you want it — terrace, lawn, planting, lighting, boundaries, levels, drainage — all coordinated by one team, under one programme. You deal with one firm, not four.

Our process

  1. 01

Briefing visit — walk the site together, discuss how the garden needs to work, note constraints.

  2. 02

Design and specification — draw the scheme, specify every element, price and programme.

  3. 03

Strip and groundworks — clear the site, set levels, install drainage and services.

  4. 04

Hard landscaping — build the structural elements: terraces, walls, paths, drives, steps.

  5. 05

Soft landscaping and finish — turf, planting, lighting, final clean and handover.

Materials we use

  • Combination of all hard landscaping materials — specified per element
  • Turf or seeded lawn
  • Planting (coordinated with a planting designer if needed)
  • Lighting runs and outdoor power
  • Fencing, screening and boundary treatments

Typical timeline

Eight to twelve weeks on site for a comprehensive scheme. Phased builds over two seasons are possible.

About Dorking

Period properties in the centre, larger detached houses on the slopes. Gardens often contend with chalk, flint and steep gradients.

The western limit of our Surrey coverage — we take projects here for the right scope.

Common questions

For most projects, Sam draws the scheme with you on the site visit — and the proposal specifies everything in detail. For larger or more complex schemes, we work with garden designers we trust and coordinate the whole project.
