Driveways in Westerham

A quiet village on the Kent–Surrey border with a strong sense of place. Green, historic, and particular about what gets built.

Driveways in Westerham

A driveway carries weight, sheds water and frames the front of the house — all while being the thing most visitors see first. We build in block paving, resin-bound, brick sett and natural stone, each on a sub-base engineered to carry what needs carrying.

Our process

  1. 01

Site survey — assess vehicle loads, measure the area, check falls and drainage routes.

  2. 02

Specification — choose the surface material, agree edging detail, confirm layout.

  3. 03

Groundworks — excavate, lay sub-base in compacted layers, install edge restraints.

  4. 04

Surface — lay the chosen material, cut to line, compact or finish as required.

  5. 05

Drainage and finish — connect to existing drainage or install new, clean and handover.

Materials we use

  • Clay block pavers (herringbone, stretcher, basket-weave)
  • Resin-bound aggregate
  • Natural stone setts
  • Brick setts
  • Granite sett edging and borders

Typical timeline

Two to three weeks on site for a standard domestic drive.

About Westerham

Period cottages and larger detached houses, often with sloping gardens backing onto open countryside. Stone and brick predominate.

On the western edge of our Kent coverage — close to our Surrey work too.

Common questions

Block paving is more traditional, repairable in sections, and suits period properties. Resin-bound is seamless, permeable, and often preferred for a clean contemporary look. Both last well when laid on the right base.
